Get clean! If your under-arms are freshly washed and odor-free, applying NPN deodorant will keep you sweet-smelling. Right after showering and drying off is the best time to apply.

Stick: Twist up the product no more than 1/8". Apply using light to medium pressure while guiding the stick over your underarms. The heat from your skin will allow the surface of the product to melt and glide onto your skin. 1-2 layers is all you need.

Jar: Apply a pea-sized amount under each arm. Your body heat will allow the product to melt and glide onto your skin.

Wait at least 30 minutes before applying deodorant to freshly shaved underarms.

Store in a cool, dark, dry place.

Do not use on irritated skin.

Switching from antiperspirants

Commercial antiperspirant use can leave behind a build-up of chemicals and dead skin. Before applying NPN deodorant for the first time, you may need to unclog your pores by exfoliating. It may take a week or so to sweat out chemical residues, and your body odor may be slightly stronger during this adjustment period.

Due to variations in body chemistry, you may find that one combination of essential oils works better than another.

Deodorant life

One application lasts about 12 hours, depending on activity level and body chemistry. Shelf life is approximately 1 year. Store away from light, heat and moisture; they will shorten the life of this natural product.

Tip: Do not leave NPN deodorant in a hot car, on a beach, or anywhere hot and sunny. It will melt, since it does not contain chemical stabilizers. It may be salvageable if stirred and put it in the freezer to re-solidify, but the texture may be altered. On hot days, in an uncooled home, you may want to store your deodorant in the refrigerator.
